How do I record an EMI payment?

Each EMI you pay chips away at the loan. Record it, or let WealthGamma do it for you, and the outstanding balance, interest paid and progress all move along.

Record an EMI yourself

Step 1: Open the loan

From Liabilities, click the loan, then click Record EMI in the top-right.

Step 2: Enter the payment

Set the Payment Date and Amount: the EMI amount is filled in for you, then click Record.

The amount defaults to your EMI; change it for a part-payment if needed.

Or record them automatically

Prefer not to think about it? Turn on Record EMI automatically: on the loan, or when you add it. On the EMI day each month, WealthGamma creates the payment for you and emails you to verify.

Note: Each recorded EMI is split into principal and interest behind the scenes, so your Interest Paid and Repayment Progress stay accurate.
