    CAS import

A portfolio tracker that imports your CAS

Your full mutual fund history is already in one PDF: the CAS from CAMS and KFintech. WealthGamma reads it and adds every transaction with its date, units and NAV. No broker login, no inbox access.

The Import Data screen in Settings, with the CAS source selected.

    The statement

    What is a CAS
    (Consolidated Account Statement)?

A CAS (Consolidated Account Statement) is one PDF from CAMS and KFintech, the two registrars that process mutual fund transactions in India. It lists every mutual fund folio you hold, across all fund houses.

    • Every transaction: each purchase, SIP instalment, redemption and switch.
    • The date of each one, which later decides long term or short term.
    • Units and NAV, so your cost is exact.

Your broker only knows the funds you bought through it. The CAS has all of them. MF Central shows the same records.

      Request a detailed CAS

A detailed CAS requested from CAMS covers both CAMS and KFintech funds. It arrives by email as a password-protected PDF.

    2. 2

Set the source to CAMS / KFintech CAS (PDF)

In Settings, Import Data, the source list includes CAMS / KFintech CAS (PDF). An in-app helper shows where the statement is requested.

    3. 3

Enter the CAS password and add the PDF

The password is usually your PAN, or the one you set when you requested the statement. The PDF is read on import and not stored.

    4. 4

      Preview, then confirm

The preview lists every mutual fund transaction found in the file. Nothing is saved until you confirm the import.

    How it works

    How to import a CAMS
    or KFintech CAS

One file, four steps. A detailed CAS covers both registrars, so a single PDF has every fund you hold, wherever you bought it.

You see every transaction before anything is saved. The help article on importing a CAMS or KFintech CAS shows each screen.

    What you get

    Every mutual fund transaction,
    with date, units and NAV

WealthGamma keeps every purchase as its own lot. A tracker that only stores today's balance cannot show your return or your tax.

    • XIRR: your real return on money invested at different times.
    • Capital gains: each lot is marked long term or short term before you sell.
    • Cost: exact, from the units and NAV in the statement.

The lots feed the tax engine. Global trackers such as Kubera add Indian funds by AMFI code and have no CAS import: see the Kubera alternative.

    Stocks and everything else

Import stocks from a Zerodha tradebook or any broker CSV

A CAS lists mutual funds only. Stocks come in from your broker's own file: a Zerodha tradebook, or any other broker's CSV or Excel export.

    Family portfolios

    One CAS for each
    family member

A CAS belongs to one person. Each family member's CAS goes into their own portfolio, all under your login.

    • One family net worth: the portfolios add up.
    • Separate tax: each person's capital gains stay their own.
    • Paid plans hold 3 or 10 portfolios.

The funds then sit beside the gold, the PPF, the flat and the home loan in the net worth tracker.

What CAS import does not do

    • No automatic sync. New transactions arrive with a newer CAS, or you add them yourself.
    • Mutual funds only. The CAMS and KFintech CAS does not list stocks.
    • The NSDL and CDSL depository statement is not read. Stocks come in from a broker file.
    • Imports are part of the paid plans, not the Free plan.

    Before you sign up

Which portfolio tracker imports a CAS in India?

WealthGamma imports the CAS PDF from CAMS and KFintech and brings in every mutual fund transaction with its date, units and NAV. Stocks, gold, PPF, FDs, property and loans sit beside the funds in one net worth.

    What is the CAS password?

Usually your PAN, for example ABCDE1234F, or the password you set when you requested the statement.

Does WealthGamma import an NSDL or CDSL CAS?

Not today. WealthGamma reads the CAS PDF from CAMS and KFintech, which covers mutual funds. Stocks held in a demat account come in from a Zerodha tradebook or any other broker's CSV or Excel file.

    Does a CAS include stocks?

The CAMS and KFintech CAS lists mutual fund folios only. Stocks come into WealthGamma from a Zerodha tradebook, or from any other broker's CSV or Excel export.

Can I import a CAS for my spouse or parents?

Yes. Each person's CAS goes into their own portfolio under your login, and the portfolios add up to one family net worth. Paid plans hold 3 or 10 portfolios.

    Is CAS import free?

No. Imports are part of the paid plans, and every paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee. On the Free plan you add holdings yourself.

Does WealthGamma keep my CAS PDF?

No. The PDF is read on import and not stored. WealthGamma never asks for a broker login, a bank login or an OTP.

Do I need to import again after new SIP instalments?

Yes. WealthGamma does not sync with the registrars. A newer CAS brings in the transactions since the last one, and any single transaction can be added yourself.
