My prices or Day Change aren't updating

When live prices refresh, and what “Awaiting today's price/NAV update” means.

    Updated 23 Jul 2026

If your net worth looks frozen or Day Change shows a dash, nothing's broken. The market just hasn't handed over today's numbers yet. Here's when prices actually move and how to nudge one along.

    What "awaiting" means

Stocks are priced through the trading day; mutual funds get a single NAV published after the market closes, usually that night. Until today's figure arrives, the Day Change card reads Awaiting today's price/NAV update rather than guessing.

The waiting state: Day Change fills in on its own once today's prices and NAVs land.

    Why it's showing a dash

    • Before market hours: there's no fresh price yet today, so the day's change is still zero.
    • Mutual funds after a buy: a fund's NAV lands after close, so a same-day figure simply doesn't exist yet.
    • Weekends and holidays: markets are shut, so prices hold at the last close.

    Force a refresh

For a single holding, open it and use Refresh latest price to pull the newest quote on demand. Otherwise prices catch up on their own. No action needed.

Note: An Awaiting label is normal and temporary. If a price is still stale a full day after the market has traded, that's worth a ticket.
